So many things in life and business require a POWER THROUGH! approach. We learned this as young toddlers when we wanted to move around like the giant people that surrounded us. We stopped crawling and learned to stand up, held onto some nearby furniture and scooted along. Before we knew it we began to trust the outstretched arms of our parents. Once we learned we could navigate a room we braved the outdoors.
We learned to muster the courage to ask for things we wanted. We learned that “no” didn’t always mean “no” if we kept asking again and again. This is when our vocabulary started to increase because our parents would tell us to stop nagging. Again, we learned to persist to get the things we wanted.
As teenagers, it somehow became more hurtful to stand out in the crowd when all we were trying to do was to fit in. Adolescence brought on some seriously intense emotions that both protected us and held us back from expressing our true thoughts and feelings.
Same as our early bravado, it brought us our first jobs, our first real careers maybe our first life partners but now we find ourselves having to take things to the next level. Maybe we find that our skill set is a bit outdated or maybe we can see that AI will soon be replacing a big part of our current job tasks.
We feel that we might need to look at embracing lifelong education as a way to stay relevant. This realization is a whole new mindset from what our parents and mentors had to navigate. They can’t help us as this is an unprecedented era of uncharted territory which is something they never had to face.
We’ve been doing this our whole lives, we must power through our current situation and embrace the right attitude, grit, determination, and cunning we always have.
When in doubt, Power Through! When you’re not sure what to do, Power Through!, When you’re not sure if you can keep going, Power Through!
You can do this, you’ve always done this, so never stop doing whatever it is you do to keep your fight alive and making your contribution and hopefully our world a better place.
