Never having to say… “I wish I had”

What if your employer hired you on an agreed salary and then when it came to pay day they only paid you half of the agreed sum. What would you do? How would you react?

Like most people you would go and fight for your money and then quit your employer the very next day.

What if on the other hand you had agreed to solve problems and put in 100% effort on your job? Then you failed to deliver on this task. Wouldn’t it stand to reason that your employer should have the right to come to ask you for the outstanding 50% effort from you?

The reason I bring up this topic is to encourage you to look at your situation from both sides of the coin. By looking at your daily situation this way you can keep your attitude positive and have a more gratuitous feeling about your work.

The other reason I bring this up is to remind you of the rewards that are available to you if you ever decide to take the plunge and become your own boss. Then your full responsibly of effort and rewards falls happily on your own shoulders.

When you’re willing to ask 100% of yourself and go out into the marketplace giving it all you’ve got then the rewards you receive back not just monetarily but in terms of new experiences and personal growth opportunities can be staggering in comparison. When you get into the habit of going all in often the world gives you back more than you could ever have imagined.

The added benefit of this exercise is to have the ability to look back on your life and never utter the words…
