My intention is not to be political with my blog, however, I feel that the upcoming election in the Untied States is indicative of what’s happening the world over.

I’m amazed at how we have put ourselves in such a Catch 22 that we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t. It is my view that we have a serious situation on our hands.
There are no clear objectives, goals or vision coming from either candidate. Both candidates are happy to go as low as possible to discredit their opponent. Meanwhile the world needs America to mature, to go beyond our mediocre at best results and start encouraging the right people to lead our country.
240 years and look where we’re at:
The U.S. ranks 14th in education
The U.S. ranks 115th in linguistic diversity
The U.S. ranks 19th in national satisfaction
The U.S. ranks 44th in health care efficiency
The U.S. ranks 145th in slavery
The U.S. ranks 2nd in ignorance
The U.S. ranks 17th in happiness
The U.S. ranks 7th in wireless broadband subscriptions
The U.S. ranks first in incarceration
The U.S. ranks 23rd in gender equality
The U.S. ranks 46th in freedom of the press
The U.S. ranks 26th in child well-being
The U.S. ranks 24th in literacy
In all fairness… We do in fact lead in a few things:
The U.S. ranks 1st in prisoners
The U.S. ranks 1st in women’s Olympic figure skating gold medals – Go Girls!
And of course lest we forget to mention where we really shine!
The U.S. ranks 1st in the super rich
If we don’t start cultivating better leaders so we can have better choices I fear that we will continue to fail in all the areas that really count and what our forefathers fought so dearly for:
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!
