One of Those Ones

Some Questions worth considering:

  • Why are there so few truly successful people in each industry?
  • Why do People give up so quickly?
  • Why do so many people argue for their weaknesses and throw in the towel when things get a bit tougher?
  • Why do so many search for the easy opportunity?

“When the going gets tough the tough get going.” Seems only to apply to those few who truly understand what it takes to succeed. These rare gems are simply too stubborn to give up and eventually wear down their competition. They’ve discovered the winning formula.

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like hard work” Thomas Edison

If you haven’t yet hit the wall then it’s just a matter of time. You can rest assured that things will get tough on your journey to success. The question is how will you respond when it does?

Your choices are few:

  1. Quit, Give up, Throw in the Towel, then you can spend al your energy blaming the market, your boss, your employees, your team, your partner, your competition, the government and many other external interferences.
  2. You can find someone else to solve your problems and challenges for you?  There are plenty of specialty consultants, coaches agents lined up and ready to take some of your working capital in order to move you forward.
  3. You can roll up your sleeves and say, “This is good. It might be tough but there must be some nuggets of information, some valuable knowledge that I can learn here.”

Knowing that once you get through this you will ready yourself for the next big or small challenge. Either way you’re gaining knowledge and perspective which will eventually turn into wisdom.

“Tough Times don’t last but tough people do”

Deal with what’s in front of you and think about (imagine) some of the problems that could/might arise in the future and create a couple of specific game plans on how to deal with them.

Be patient, sometimes answers will come to you as you go through your normal business each day. Often times problems will either melt away, dis-appear or the perfect solution will pop up just as you need it.

The point is you must commit to a path, a way forward. Be resolute, Be persistent, close off all your options which are designed to slow you down, distract you from your target or stop you in your tracks and encourage you to quit and Join the “Mediocre Masses.”

You know the ones that seem to be doing well but in all actuality are not. They talk a big game but there’s no depth, no war chest, no real success and the people that are close to them and know them well can tell you that they are not as successful as they appear.

You know…“Those ones!”

I know you’re not one of them. You must fight like a bandit to rise above but you can do it. I know you can.
