Halloween is the Ultimate Sales Test

How many chances do you get to go out and get a bunch of high value products for free?

Halloween is a phenomenal testament to the value of getting out there and hustling around your neighborhood to grab “high value” stuff for “FREE!”

It’s amazing how much you can achieve in such a short span of time. I had such a great time handing out a ton of candy to the little ones coming to my door. Some sang, some danced and some just stood there with their candy bags held open. Everyone got what they wanted.

My boys worked the entire neighborhood and came back with enough booty to last us until Christmas. Plus they had a blast making the rounds.

Think back to all the great fun and energy you put into your trick or treat rounds when you were little. Are you putting in the same fun and commitment you gave when you prepared for your trick or treating expeditions when you were growing up?

I know some of you crazy Europeans don’t know what I’m talking about or honour this favourite crazy North American tradition, but you could still get out there and start knocking on some doors and probably come back with a laugh, a punch and possibly some candy if you asked nicely.

If your product or service hasn’t been moving the way you wanted then maybe it’s time to put on your “SALES COSTUME” and get out there and start pitching to your market. Visit your preferred customers and ask for a nice testimonial and give them a big incentive for some referrals.

The bottom line is that you should be actively out there knocking on your customers doors offering them some compelling new value.

Make sure your firing yourself and your staff up to finish 2013 strong. Everyone should be participating in the end of your push to hit your 2013 goals.

If Dracula is willing to work nights to hit his goals then so should you!
